Do you know?  As I sit in the Virtual World and I spend more and more of the times with a friend, I have good feelings that seem very real.  If you see something in the machine, and you saw the same thing outside of the machine, would I or can I have that same feeling?  The other night, I sit with Courtney, and she does not say too many things.  But it’s the things she does that make me feel special.  She allows me to tell her what to do.  If I say for her to sit, she will sit on that command.  If I tell her to stand, she will also do that when I say it.  I know it is not reality, because it is all done in the machine.  But, the satisfaction, anticipation, even the control or power are very real!  Is this some kind of substitute for our future?  Now, Mom says that TV is stealing what is left of our minds and our creativity.  Is this virtual world or the machine going to take all of our interaction away?  When I am in this world playing at the machine, I don’t even think of this stuff!  It is only after I sit and those sensations wear off, do I notice how really compelling, addicting and beautiful this is :)
